Time to Resurrect T&I Business

After resting for two years, it is time to bring back T&I Business, the blog that discusses the business & technology of translation, interpretation, localization, & other related -tions. You know... all the usual GILT-y pleasures. For those of you who still haven't figured it our, the "T&I" in "T&I Business" stands for "Translation and Interpretation," although some stressed linguists may claim that is debatable.

I hope you'll enjoy the new comments and insights. I've accumulated a long list of topics to cover this time around, but I'm willing to comment on suggested topics as well, so let me know what you'd like to read about. In the near future, look for posts on

  • The business case for machine translation
  • Translation market growth
  • What employers look for in linguists
You'll probably also hear a little about Elanex, Inc., a company that I joined last year after it impressed me with some very unique developments in translation technology.
